Please plan to join the CMA contingent to the Illinois Conference Special
Meeting in Morris, Illinois on Saturday, February 11, 2005, from 9:30 am - 3:30 pm.
This will be a very important meeting to discuss the future and structure of
both the Illinois Conference and of CMA, including the question of whether
open space technology is the best way to organize and operate both institutions
in the future, in the face of rising expenses and shrinking income.
The meeting will be held at Jennifer's Garden Banquet & Convention Center,
555 Gore Road, Morris, IL 60450; 815-941-2868
An information and registration packet was sent to each church in December.
We hope that each CMA church and institution will send at least all
of their CMA clergy (licensed and commissioned ministers included) and their
elected church delegates. Visitors, especially those persons who were
delegates to the 2005 Illinois Conference Annual Meeting in Peoria last
June, as well as all visionary church members, are urged to attend.
Distance to the meeting:
From the CMA office in the loop it is 60.3 miles (about 1 hour and 11 minutes)
to Jennifer's Garden.

Co-Minister Rev Michael Denton at:

The continuing shortfall in OCWM support for the Illinois Conference
(and therefore for the UCC and CMA), make this special conference meeting
all the more critical as we discuss restructuring the conference and the
associations in light of diminishing resources.
