June 21-25, 2006 - Indianapolis
Discover Your Dreams! Awaken to God’s Dreams! Live out those Dreams in the World!
This is the call to all United Church of Christ and Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) women to the Mix in ’06 Women’s Event:
5,000 women from around the world in a one time historic combined gathering of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Quadrennial Assembly and the United Church of Christ National Women’s Meeting.
June 21-25, 2006 at the Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana
Diverse women of all ages, sizes, shapes, races, ethnic groups, economic and educational backgrounds, and their sisters, mothers, daughters, friends and significant others. Yes, men are welcome.
Join with other dreamers and set free the power of your own dream.
To honor and celebrate the ecumenical partnership between the United Church of Christ and the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and to build upon the fifty plus year history of women in our denominations, this joint women's event will bring together women of all ages to:
WORSHIP together
STUDY the scriptures
NURTURE one another
SHARE our stories
TEACH and LEARN together
ENGAGE in leadership development
STRENGTHEN our global partnership with women around the world.
This event will be fully accessible, multi-racial/multi-cultural and welcoming of all. Youth and young adult women will be intentionally involved in the planning of and leadership for all aspects of this event.
Hear strong preaching by: Bernice Powell Jackson, Nancy Hastings Sehested, Claudia De la Cruz, Daisy L. Machado and Sandhya Jha.
Learn from great Bible study leaders: Muse Dube, Rosemary McCombs Maxey, Marti Steussy
Enjoy great musical performances by three nationally-known singers. Holly Near, Bernice Johnson Reagon, and Carrie Newcomer bring different musical styles but all sing of peace, justice and an awareness of the sacred in the ordinary.
Dream Weavers will create connections throughout the worship, study, fellowship and fun. The Dream Weaver team is an extraordinary group of women gifted in the ministry of the arts: Kimberleigh Jordan, Curran Reichert, Janet Casey-Allen, Laura Hall (pianist from Who’s Line is it Anyway).
Registration, accommodations and much, much more information is on the
website at: www.dreamonsisters.com
The registration fee is $375 per person. (Registration for the 2002 ICWF Quadrennial Assembly of the Disciples of Christ was $350.) Check fund raising ideas on the web site.
Registration fee includes:
All program and planning costs
Scholarships to help youth Stewards, International Guests, and women with special needs
Six meals

Support for Women’s Ministries
You can register on-line through the web site and you can also make your hotel reservations on-line when you register for the event.
Housing is not included in the registration fee.
Blocks of rooms have been secured at 10 downtown hotels. Prices range from $89 to $149 per night. All hotels are within walking distance of the Convention Center with many amenities for your comfort. Plan now to share a room with a friend or two (up to 4 persons per room – at no added cost) to lower individual housing costs.
Those who register early will have the best chance of getting their favorite hotel. Hotel reservations may be made after registering for the event. “It’s important for women to stay within our negotiated room blocks listed on the registration form. If we fill our contracted rooms we can avoid paying for empty rooms and our negotiating power for future events will not be damaged,” says Mix Coordinator, Claudia Grant.
Child care for infants, pre-school and elementary children will be available at an extra cost.
Check with your Regional and Conference office to apply for scholarship help or contact the Mix in ’06 office.

programming and purpose. What should the cluster be doing? What can the cluster be doing
better? What do the churches need from our cluster that they may not be receiving?
What will future leadership look like for the cluster, e.g. in addition to Dean/Secretary
do we need a planning and/or programming committee? For the answers to these and other
questions, please attend this cluster gathering. We need your input!
